Join us for a special fashion presentation of incredible fashion and panel discussion with Brisbane’s leading designers and scientific minds.

Five extraordinary Brisbane designers — Joash Teo (Joteo), Kiara and Bianca Bulley (Bulley Bulley), Andrzej Pytel (Krzysztof), Tahnee and Natalie Sommerfeld (Sommerfeld), and Lydia Jiang — will each present a one-off custom design inspired by art and science, followed by a panel discussion dissecting fashion and the scientific research that inspired these works.

In partnership with the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, our designers visited researchers to inspire their creations, which audiences will enjoy in an extraordinary presentation of creative talent, followed by conversation with designers and researchers alike — a meeting of minds between leading creatives in their respective fields.

Cutting Edge is the culmination of months of work and years of research, and is a celebration of emergent discoveries and artisanal craft.
